French and Indian War 1756-1759
Iroquois Indians had a lot of land along the Ohio river. The Ohio company wanted to build forts along the Ohio River. British got involved. French and British go to war. British win, and French surrender. -
Proclamation Line
Create to uphold a " promise" between the Iroquois and Delaware, that is to have a colony with no English Settlers. Colonists just finish fighting for that land, and now they were kicked out of it. -
Currency Act
English colonies can no longer use their own currency. They must instead use British money. -
Treaty of Paris
Kicked French out of the new world. England has been through a lot of wars. BEgins to tax people to pay off war debt -
Sugar Act
Established Vice admiralty courts to enforce the navigation acts. It also replaced the Molasses Act of 1733, except now it encompasses more than just Molasses. -

The colonist had to provide for English Soldiers. -
Stamp Act of Congress
Petition to the King to remove the Stamp Act of 1765. Parliament removes the Stamp Act of 1765 and immediately replaces it t=with the Declaratory Act -
Stamp Act
First tax directed towards American Colonies. Items that are to be taxed must bear a stamp on them. Violators will be tried and convicted in Vice-Admiralty courts. -
Declaratory Act
Parliament now says that they are the supreme ruler of the land. -
