    After a dispute with the Doeg tribe Nathaniel Bacon requested that all neighboring Native tribes be driven out, but this request was denied. Bacon not taking no for an answer formed a militia made up of people from every social class, Attacked the Native Americans indefinitely and burned Jamestown to the ground.

    Metacom now known as King Philip watched as the English settlers that his tribe had helped, take more and more of their tribe's land, and as a result the natives did not have enough land to hunt or grow crops. King Philip started a war to take his tribes land back but even though the Natives won a couple of battles in the beginning, they became weak with hunger. Later King Philip was captured, beheaded, and had his head displayed in front of Jamestown for twenty years.

    The Salem Witch trials is a period of mass hysteria that started when two girls accused a woman named Tituba of being a witch. Many more "witches" would be accused but this finally came to an end in 1693 after 19 have lost their lives. The two girls who started it all went unpunished.
