Born in the German city of Stettin. Catherine was the daughter of Prince Christian August and Johanna Elizabeth. She later traveled to Russia with her mother. -
Catherine the Great marries Grand Duke Peter of Holestien.
At the age of 14, Peter and Catherine had gotten married. It was an unhappy marriage, no love or affection, and unfaithful to one another. They had 3 kids together, Paul, Anna, and Alexis. -
Paul's birth
Catherine gave birth to her eldest son, Paul. He was taken away from her and she didn't meet him until he was seven, when he took the place of his father's spot in the rein. -

Her only daughter was born, and just like Paul she was taken away from Catherine sice birth. -

Catherine the Great expanded Russa's borders into Poland and parts of Ukraine for large amounts of money. -

This resulted in the fall of Maximilien Robespierre. Which made the social and political life became more free, more extravagant, and more personally corrupt. There was a widespread of fashion and wealth, but the poor suffered from harsh economic conditions. -

After success in the war, catherine stressed the importance of westernization and she had gotten a piece of the black sea, which meant trade, transportation, food, and economic growth. -
