When Edgar is six years old he goes to school in england. -

When he is 14 years old he attends school at William Burke, where he suceeds in athletics. -

In 1826, Edgar attends the University of Virginia where he goes by Edgar Poe. This is when Edgar is seventeen. -
Poe writes first book, drops out of school, and joins army.
When Poe is eighteen years old he drops out of school because John Allan want give him the money to pay. Since he can't support himself he joins the army. He also writed his first book, "Tamerlane and Other Poems." -

When Poe is 19 years old he is doing well in the army and attains rank of sergeant major. -
Mrs. Allan dies and Poe and John reconcile
Mrs. Allan, Edgar's adopted mother dies. Edgar then returns home. Also Poe and adopted father John temporarily reconcile their differences. Poe applies to West Point and John supports him. -
Gets kicked out of West Point
When Poe is 22 years old he deliberately gets kicked out of West Point. -
Poe is rejected
When Poe is twenty-three years old he submits a number of stories to magazines and they are rejected. -
Poe gets married
When Poe is 27 years old he gets married to his cousin Virginia. She is thirteen. -
Poe gets a prize
When Poe is thirty-four years old he gets a hundred dollar prize for "The Gold Bug." -
Poe's wife dies
Poe's wife, Virginia, dies from tiberculosis. This happens when Edgar is 38 years old. -
Poe does lectures and moves around
Poe lectures on, "The Poetric Principle." then he leaves Richmond and goes to Philadelphia. Next, he apparently gets on the wrong train and goes to Baltimore. -
Poes dies
When Poe is 40 years old he is found half concious and is carried to the hospital and he passes.
