First Colony is Founded
In 1607, Virginia was founded by John Smith and became the first of the thirteen colonies. This colony was named Jamestown. -
Rule of Sir Thomas Dale
In 1611, Sir Thomas Dale came to VIrginia and used his soldier skills to make changes to Jamestown. He made the Martial Law and strict military codes. He organized workface, livestock production. -
The Second Colony

The Pilgrim Fathers, founded the second colony which is present day called Massachussets. They wrote the Mayflower Compact as a set of specific laws and social rules for the new colony. -
