Cornell Sun Coverage Cornell nearly toppled Minnesota in junior Ryan Wittman's return to his home state, but the Gopher defense tightened up and Minnesota rallied to overcome the Red's 13-point second-half lead and take the win, 71-54. The game was also the 2008-09 debut of junior guard Louis Dale, the reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, who had been out with a hamstring injury. -
Cornell win vs. La Salle
Cornell Sun Coverage Center Jeff Foote scored 16 in the second half en route to a career-high 25 points to lead Cornell over La Salle, 79-70. The Red overcame a 14-point second-half deficit in the win %u2014 its most impressive victory of the season according to the RPI rankings. -

Cornell Sun Coverage Cornell continued its run through the Ivy League with a 64-36 thrashing of Yale at Newman Arena. With the dominant weekend, kicked off by a 90-58 win over Brown, Cornell's Ancient Eight record sat at a perfect 4-0. -
Cornell vs. Princeton
Cornell Sun Coverage Princeton handed Cornell its first Ancient Eight loss in 19 games, 61-41. The Tiger defense played hard all game long and held the Red to 32 percent shooting and just 12 percent from 3-point range. Bracketologists and other college basketball pundits revised their predictions to include Princeton in the NCAA Tournament with the Ivy League's automatic berth. -
Cornell win vs. Harvard
Cornell Sun Coverage Cornell put on a circus on offense and downed Harvard, 96-75, to temporarily quiet concerns about its offense a week after the 20-point loss to Princeton. Junior Ryan Wittman hit 4-of-7 from long range to break the school record for career 3-pointers made. The Red also set a new school record for most assists in a game (31). -
Cornell vs. Yale
Cornell Sun Coverage Yale handed the men's basketball team arguably its most humbling loss of the season, 72-60. The Bulldogs, who were thoroughly outplayed in a 64-36 loss at Newman Arena, held the Red to 38.3 percent shooting from the field and connected on 50 percent of its own shots. -

Cornell Sun Coverage The game in Cambridge, Mass., came down to the last seconds for the second year in a row. Unlike 2008, however, Harvard came away with the 71-70 win to put on hold the Red's hopes at wrapping up a share of the Ivy title. -

Cornell Sun Coverage Cornell clinched its second consecutive Ivy League Championship with a resounding 83-59 win over Penn at home. Junior Ryan Wittman added to his case for Ivy League Player of the Year with a game-high 25 points. Cornell's win combined with Princeton's 58-44 loss at Columbia handed the Red sole possession of the Ivy League title.
