Hitler's reasoning to enter Poland was to sign a nonagression pact with Poland in January 1934. This would neutralize the possibility of a French-Polish Military alliance against Germany. However, Hitler soon decided to create the Germany-Soviet Act which would allow Germany to attack Poland without fearing Soviet intervention -

Japanese American Interment
President Roosevelt signed the Japanese American Interment in 1942. This would relocate 110,000 Japanese Americans and Japanse who live along the Pacific Coast to "Relocation Camps". -
Italy Surrenders
The prime minister of Italy surrendered on order of the king. Italian soldiers refused to join Germany and most became prisoners of war. Most italians saw this as "the end" and mourned greatly. -
D-Day
"Operation Overlord" was what they called the invasion of Normandy. Allied forces conducted two assults on the germans; An airborne assult and troops . The Germans thought this to be some type of decoy and expected the actual landing somewhere else. -

The Liberation of Paris was considered the last battle of the Campaign of Normandy and the conclusion of "Operation Overlord". It was brought up by the French Resistance and recieved help from the Free French Army of Liberation. -
Bombing of Hiroshima
The first boming in Hiroshima occured on August 6 1945 during the final stages of World War 2. The second occured on August 9 1945. The bombing was a result of Japans neglegence to surrender in the Potsdam Declarationon July 26 1945. By order, president Truman dropped the weapon "little boy".
