  • Treaty of London

    Italy signed the Treaty of London along with Russia, Britain, and France. This made them secret allies, instead of Italy being allies with the Central Powers.

  • Italy enters the Great War

    Italy officially enters the war by declaring war on Austria-Hungary. This made the Central Powers realize whose side Italy was really on.

  • Italy attacks Hungarians

    Italians launch attacks on Hungarians that prove to be unsuccessful. These attacks were at 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Battles of Isonzo; there are a total of 12 battles.

  • Italy declares war on Germany

    On August of 1916, Italy declared war on Germany.

  • Austria-Hungary and Germany breakthrough Italian Front

    The 10th, 11th and 12th Battles of Isonzo were fought on this day, however, the Italians lost. And Germany as well as Austria-Hungary fought and broke through the Italian front at Caporetto.

    The Italians defeated Austria-Hungaria at the Battle of Piave.

    One of the Central Powers, Turkey, signs an armistice with the Allies.

    Trieste is taken over by the Allies as Austria-Hungary signs an armisitice.

    This was the start of negotiations in Paris.

    The Treaty of Versailles finally ends the Great War.
