Outer Space Adventure
Annie takes George on an adventure to outer space. They travel on the back of a comet and get a first had look at many of the unvierse's planets -
Storm!
Annie and George get stuck in an asteroid storm. Annie’s antenna breaks and their lines of communication are down. -
The Rescue
In the midst of the storm, a door filled with light appears. Eric to the rescue! -
Consequences
George and Annie get grounded. They lose access to Cosmos and are not allowed to see each other -
Eye on the Prize
George finds out about a science presentation competition being held at his school. First prize: a new computer! -
Environmental Protest
George's dad goes to an environmental protest. Signs are held up. People are chanting. Someone yells, “The advances in science and technology have given us the power to destroy our planet” -
An Assignment
Ringo and gang knock on Dr. Reeper’s door in hopes to give him a Halloween scare. Instead, they get an assignment from their "creapy" teacher.... -
Checking In
Dr Reeper checks in with George at school. The interaction feels weird to George and he questions his teachers motives. -
The Scientist Conference
George stops by Eric's house in the middle of the The Scientist conference. Scientists from all over the world are gathered to learn about the universe. George hears a fscinating talk on Mars. -
The Letter
George shares a letter with Eric he finds on the library floor. The letter has information on the coordinates of a potential new planet on which human life could survive. Eric cannot contain himself and immediately enters space (with Cosmos help) to look into the claim himself. He has no idea what he's about to get into.... -
A Trap!
"Once was snugly bucked into the sequined suit, Cosmos drew the door way into outer space" (pg. 207) George tries to go find Eric and warn him that the coordinates on the letter were a trap. Eric has been set up! -
Too Late
George tries to warn Eric, but as soon as he realizes that he's being set up it's too late. He's being sucked into a black hole. George manages to sneek through the door back into the safe confines of the library, but Eric is not so lucky. He has been sucked into a black hole! -
A Stolen Cosmos!
Ringo and his gang steal Cosmos and make a run for it. They deliver their loot to Dr. Reeper. -
A Solution?
George looks through Eric's latest book on black holes to see if it's even possible to get something out of a black hole once it's been sucked in. -
George and Annie to the Rescue
George meets Annie at the Science competition. He tricks Dr. Reeper into coming into judge and then he and Annie escape out a hallway window in order to get Cosmos and save Eric from the black hole! -
Request for Information
George uploads the info from Eric's new book into Cosmos. This provides Cosmos with enough information to try to save Eric. The task is still a daunting one, though.... -
Back from Beyond
Particle by particle, Cosmos uses all of his might to pull Eric out of the black hole...... -
My Secret Key to the Universe
"My name is George Greenby. And I am here today to give a talk." (pg. 284) After saving Eric, George makes it back to school in time to give his speech in the science competition. "Some people think science is boring, others think it's dangerous- and if we don't get interested in science and learn about it and use it properly, then maybe it is those things. But if you try and understand it, it's fascinating, and it matters to us and to the future of our planet" -
First Prize
George's speech on the universe earns him first prize in the science competition! His prize....a new computer!!!
And a new, more extensive understanding of the Universe.....
