Primary Election
A primary election is an election in which party members or voters select candidates for a subsequent election. Closed- People may vote in a party's primary only if they are registered members of that party. Open- A registered voter may vote in any party primary regardless of his own party affiliation Run-off- the ballot is not restricted to one party and the top two candidates advance to the general election regardless of party affiliation. -
