Scout introduces us to Maycomb
Scout Finch, the narrator of the novel, reflects back on her childhood in the 1930's. She lives in the small southern town of Maycomb with her father Atticus, her brother Jem, and the housekeeper Calpurnia. The Finches have a rich history in the town and are well-respected. Growing up without a mother, Scout is an outspoken, fiesty tomboy who plays rough with her brother and their summer friend, Dill. The kids are curious about their mysterious neighbor, Boo, who is confined to his house.
