German inventor Johannes Gutenberg invented a printing press process, remanied the principle way of printing untill the the late 20th century, this is important to media becuase it started the spread of literacy througout Europe and dramaticly increased the productivity of copyin books. -
Georges Louis Le Sage patents Electric Telegraph
wikipedia George invented/patented his electric telegraph, which had a seperate wire per letter. The device could send messgaes to another telegraph, all the way in the other room. This is a improtant event becuse it was a start to communication and leading to the phone. -
Frederick Koenig improves the printing press
A machine with impression by a platen, in which the printing was produced by two plain plates just like in the common press.
This machein was much faster then the original printing press and could print over 3000 copys. This is improtant becuase old ideas are being improved and society and technology was becoming more advanced. -

Designed by Ralph Baer, the Odyssey was the first home video game system. the game worked by putting clear overlays overtop of your tv screen. I this is an important event becuase this started the chain of game systems and would soon start the 64bit game era, and soon to the playstation so on. -

He wasnt the creator of the whole company but in 2001 Tony and 30 other apple workers produced the first ipod, i was made to hold 5gbs of music (about 1000 songs). This is an important event beucase it revolutionized the portable music device. -

On March 31 1999 the first TIVo called Blue Moon was released for purchase and shipment, months later TIVo DVR's were sold in stores and also able to be rented. This is a important invention in media becuase it alowed people to record tv and skip throught commericals.
