Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife were assassinated in Sarajevo. by Gavrilo Princip amd a group of six assassins. The political objective of the assassination was to break off Austria-Hungary's south-Slav provinces so they could be combined into a larger serbia. -

Took place at the peninsula of Gallipoli in the Ottoman Empire. Joined British and Frencharmies set out to capture Ottoman capital of Constantinople and control a water route to Russia. they both failed leading to a large bloodshed. -
