  • Election of 1800

    Thomas Jefferson and John Adams run for a seat at the white house. Jefferson and his running mate, Aaron Burr End up winning the election.

  • Marbury v. Madison Supreme Court Decision

    This court case was about William Marbury Trying to force James Madison to deliver news of a commision. In the end, Marbury was able to have issued the commision, he just didn't have the right to make Mr. Madison do it. This case helped start today what is known as checks and balances.

  • Louisiana Purchase

    Thomas Jefferson purchased over 828,800 square miles of land from the French, almost doubling the size of our nation.

    This treaty officially ended the War of 1812, even though before word got back to America that it had been ratified another battle had broken out.
