  • surgery 1905

    In 1950, was the first ever Lasik eye procedure performed. Also the first ever semi successful organ transplant, the recipient rejected the organs after eight months after the procedure.

    First artificial heart used. baby survives 21 days after heart transplant of a baboon. Also first documented robotic surgery.

    Total face transplant, the person survived even after post op. complications.
