This was the time where it was the dealine to where the Cherokee could leave voluntarily now the US forcibly moved them out. This began leading to many, many Indians walking to Arkansas. -
First of the Five
The Choctaw began removal from Mississippi to Indian territory. They were the first of 5 tribes to be forcibly moved away from their homes. -
Trail of Tears
Began in 1831 but lasted to 1850, it was groups of thousands of Indians who had been removed from their homes with only whatever they had in their hands or on them. Many died on the way, leading up more to the name, Trail of Tears. -

Treaty of New Echota
Treaty signed on December 29 (1835) establishing that the Cherokee leaves its land southeast and move west to Indian territory. Although it wasn't approved by Cherokee it was confirmed by the US Senate -
Cherokee Round Up
In 1838, many Cherokee families were rounded up from their homes, some killed, some arrested. They were all just "rounded up like cows". -

On November 6, 1860, Abraham was elected going on against Douglas. The year after was when the Civil War began
