    End of French and Indian War
    The war was a huge colonization step for Great Britain in America. Colonists initially felt very frustrated and resented the British.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Passed by the British Parliament, this act put taxes on sugar products that were being imported into America. The colonists were angered and it later led to the American revolution.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This act made by the British required colonists to pay taxes on each thing of printed goods they used. This made the colonists start violent protests.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    This act enabled Parliament to make laws that would bring together the colonies in America. Made colonists feel like the British were taking over and being very totalitarian minded.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    This act started to add on more taxes for things like glass, paint, etc. Colonists began to create boycotts against the British products in response to this act.
  • Tea Act

    Tea Act
    This act added yet another tax on to the tea that the colonists were consuming. Colonists boycotted once again and it led to the Boston Tea Party occurring.
  • Start of Revolutionary War

    Start of Revolutionary War
    The 13 American Colonies revolutionized and fought against the British to gain their own control and become independent. Colonists were fired up and angry because of the British taxes and policies out in place, which made them fight in the war.
