    The French and Indian War was due to anger and conflict arising between Britain and France because of territorial control in the US, and Britain ended up winning the war. The colonists were originally supportive of the French and Indian War, but then the British started taking control of the US and the Colonists didn't agree with it.

    Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act was a law that the British had created after them going into debt. the law was put into place to out taxes on sugar that was shipped into the Colonies. The Colonists started to gain resentment towards the British for this action.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was another British law that was created, this put taxes on all types of paper documents. The Colonists finally decided that they might need to act on how the British were creating unnecessary laws.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    The Declaratory Act was a law passed by 'British Parliament', this act created the ability for British Parliament to create laws or legislate "In all cases whatsoever". The colonists tension continued to grow due to this.

    The Townshend Act was when taxes started to occur more often, and things like glass, tea, and paper started to become higher priced and taxed. The Colonists 'resistance' began to grow bigger.

    The Tea Act was the high taxing on tea, which ultimately led to the Boston Tea Party. the Colonists reacted to the Tea Act by boarding ships and dumping out all the imported tea, which was also known as the Boston Tea Party.
