  • Destruction of Castle Rock Tower

    Johann Schmidt, discovering that Tønsberg, Norway is the resting location of the Tesseract, leads a group of soldiers there in search of it. Schmidt orders his men to search the town, then arrives at Castle Rock Tower, finding a Church Keeper guarding it. Schmidt kills the Church Keeper and orders his men to open fire on the town after finding Tesseract. He refers to it as "the jewel of Odin's Treasure Room" before taking it for himself.
  • Project Rebirth

    Steve Rogers is escorted by Peggy Carter to the Strategic Scientific Reserve Brooklyn Facility, in preparation for Project Rebirth. With Erskine's serum and Howard Stark's Vita Radiation technology, Steve Rogers is transformed into the world's first super soldier.
  • Assassination of Abraham Erskine

    Erskine is assassinated by Heinz Kruger, an operative of HYDRA. The only hope of replicating Project Rebirth's success is in Rogers' genetic code. Kruger runs away, managing to get to a submarine, but is caught by Rogers, who, using his newfound powers, manages to chase him down. Kruger commits suicide with a cyanide pill.

    The 107th Infantry Regiment suffers heavy casualties fighting against the German Army and HYDRA. HYDRA openly fires at German troops, breaking ties with Nazi Germany.
  • Uprising at HYDRA Base Camp C3

    At HYDRA weapons facility in the Austrian Alps, a group of soldiers meet for the first time. As prisoners they are used to make weapons for HYDRA. They team up, at first, to get revenge on one of their captors who had viciously beat up Bucky Barnes.

    The Liberation of Allied Prisoners of War was the first combat operation undertaken by Steve Rogers as Captain America, who infiltrated a HYDRA weapons facility behind the German lines during World War II. He successfully liberated over a hundred Allied soldiers, becoming a war hero as a result.

  • Battle of Finow

    General John McGinnis' soldiers raid the laboratories of Howard Stark, stealing all documents about his research and the Midnight Oil, a defensive gas created by Stark. Wanting to help the Soviet Armed Forces in crushing the German defenses in the city of Finow in Germany, Air Force planes fly over the battlefield and release the Midnight Oil. However, the gas has a different effect on the Soviets than they were expecting. Hundreds of soldiers went mad and began killing everyone around them.
  • Attack on the Danish HYDRA Research Facility

    Captain America invades a facility in the Nazi occupied Danish Straits controlled by HYDRA. He fights a Nazi wearing an arc reactor powered battle suit, and an arc powered tank. Johann Schmidt attempts to destroy him by using a Viking Runestone, but the Captain slows the relic from exploding, allowing the Howling Commandos to escape.

    Using the Leviathan submarine, Captain America and the Howling Commandos infiltrate the HYDRA U-Base, and end up helping the HYDRA staff, who had been merged into a monster due to the Hydra Serum.

  • Battle of Normandy

    The Allied forces launch the invasion of German-occupied western Europe, landing in Normandy, France.
  • Capture of Arnim Zola

    The Howling Commandos board a HYDRA train, on a mission to capture Arnim Zola. Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes and Gabe Jones board the train using zip lines. Once inside, the group split up, Rogers and Barnes head into the train and are met with many HYDRA agents using Tesseract powered weapons. Jones, who had been sneaking along the top of the train, reaches Zola, and captures him.
  • Bucky's Fall

    During the conflict, Rogers uses his shield to block an incoming blast, creating a hole in the side of the train. Before Rogers can grab him, Barnes falls from the train, and is thought dead. Barnes lands at the bottom of the valley, surviving due to Zola's experiments.

    Having lost his left arm and on the brink of death, Barnes is found by Soviet Armed Forces and taken away for imprisonment.

Stark's butler Edwin Jarvis pursues Stark by plane while Agent Peggy Carter confronts Underwood and Agents Daniel Sousa and Jack Thompson confront Fennhoff. Carter manages to break Stark's hypnosis, by talking to him via radio, while Sousa and Thompson arrest Fennhoff, but Underwood escapes from the hangar before Jarvis and Stark return.

    Ana Jarvis, drunk after her dinner with Wilkes, deactivates the estate's alarm, allowing Frost to enter the place without any problems. Frost encounters Wilkes and he accidentally absorbs enough Zero Matter from her to have a lasting tangibility. Frost knocks Wilkes out and Joseph Manfredi carries the unconscious Wilkes to the car. Ana tries to stop the pair. Frost sees Carter's car approaching, so she shoots Ana in the abdomen as a distraction for her escape.

The battle was initially a chase for the Tesseract, where the stakes later escalated when Accuser Warships arrived to bombard C-53's surface with Kree Ballistic Missiles. Captain Marvel stopped the bombings and neutralized all members of the Starforce, and finally Yon-Rogg in the Mojave Desert, while the Skrulls escaped down to Louisiana for temporary refuge.
  • Avengers Initiative is Born

    Coulson reports that they have not yet found the Tesseract, but Fury says he is sure it will turn up, looking over at Goose, sitting in his office, still with the Tesseract inside her. Fury tells Coulson they need to find more superpowered beings that could protect Earth in case other extraterrestrial threats appear. When he looks at a picture of Danvers in her piloting days on his desk, he is inspired to name the initiative after her Air Force callsign, Avenger. The Avengers Initiative is born.

    The civil unrest leads to a series of air raids in Novi Grad. The Maximoffs' home is hit, killing Olek and Iryna. Wanda recovers from the blast and looks around, noticing the mayhem as the air strike continues. Pietro gets her and they hide under a bed, as a Stark Industries-produced mortar shell lands in front of them.
  • Bern 2000

    Tony Stark goes to a New Year's Eve party in Bern, Switzerland, where he first meets Maya Hansen and Ho Yinsen. Disabled scientist Aldrich Killian approaches Stark to request investment in his think tank, Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.). Stark tells Killian they will meet on the building's roof to discuss the matter further, but he never keeps this promise, choosing to spend the night with Hansen instead. In her hotel room, Hansen introduces Stark to her own project: Extremis.
  • Bern 2000

    New Year's Day comes, and the distraught Aldrich Killian is still waiting for Tony Stark on the roof of a building in Bern, Switzerland. Meanwhile, Stark chooses to party and sleep with Maya Hansen. Seeing the New Year's celebrations below, Killian is inspired to continue his work without Stark.
  • Massacre at the Hotel Inessa

    The Winter Soldier attacks Hotel Inessa, killing multiple guards. He gets shot at, but kills his attacker and his targets. He reaches his final target and pushes him into a hallway, saying "Hail HYDRA" as he chokes the man to death. Nakajima witnesses the Winter Soldier kill his target, and becomes too scarred to use his key to get in the house. The Winter Soldier approaches Nakajima, who begs for his life, saying that he did not see anything, but is shot and killed.
  • The Hulk

    Under the threat of funding cuts, Bruce Banner tests the Bio-Tech Force Enhancement Project on himself, but the combination of Gamma Radiation and the serum Betty Ross developed based on Abraham Erskine's Super Soldier Serum results in the accident that turns him into Hulk. Gamma pulses stored in Banner's amygdala which are released during high stress moments, will trigger a transformation. Betty is injured and hospitalized.
  • Escape from the Canadian Border Patrol

    Banner tries to flee from the United States and into Canada by sneaking into a truck that was heading through the border with Idaho. Banner is caught but when the Border Patrol officers try to arrest him, Banner is forced to transform into Hulk. Hulk flees after the incident. In his run, Hulk is sighted by locals along the U.S./Canada border. After the incident, a watch is found with the words "To Bruce, all my love, Betty" inscribed on the back of it.
  • Red Room Graduation

    For her graduation ceremony from the Red Room, Natasha Romanoff is placed on a gurney, nervous, and wheeled into an operating room, where her uterus and ovaries are removed, sterilizing her.
  • Attack on Espinoza's Cartel

    In South America, Bruce Banner is attacked by the criminal leader Espinoza and his men and transforms into the Hulk, destroying the terrorist hideout. Emil Blonsky and his team later arrives at the village discovering a path of destruction left by Hulk. This is reported to Thaddeus Ross, his first lead on Banner in months, since the incident on the U.S./Canada border.
  • Budapest Operation

    As part of her defection to S.H.I.E.L.D., Natasha Romanoff is assigned to kill the head of the Red Room, Dreykov. She and Clint Barton go to Budapest, rig a five-story building with explosives, and lure Dreykov into the place bringing in his daughter Antonia. Barton says that they need confirmation that Dreykov is in the building, and Romanoff watches Antonia enter and greet her father. Once both are inside, Romanoff gives Barton the signal to detonate the bombs.
  • Kidnapping of Tony Stark

    Tony Stark's abduction was carried out by the Ten Rings through orders given by Obadiah Stane, whose intention was to kill Stark after the latter tested the Jericho missile in Afghanistan. The Ten Rings forced Stark and Ho Yinsen to build a new missile for them, only for the two to build an armored suit instead, which allowed Stark to escape. This event was the catalyst that prompted Stark to abruptly close the weapons division of Stark Industries.
  • Search for Bruce Banner

    Nick Fury, in disguise, finds Bruce Banner in a bar and tries to find out what Thaddeus Ross' "Super-Soldier Program" did to him. He tells Agents Johnson and Peterson to gain Banner's trust and see how he reacts to certain things, so the agents pretend they were dating and Johnson cheated on Peterson with him. Banner gets confused when Johnson pulls him toward her, and Peterson threatens him. The stress of the situation causes Banner to turn into Hulk and go on a rampage.
  • Battle of Gulmira

    An open confrontation between Iron Man and the Ten Rings in the village of Gulmira, Afghanistan. Since SI's announcement to discontinue the production of weapons, the Ten Rings continued to be funded by Obadiah Stane. Using this weaponry, they captured and took control of Gulmira. Iron Man liberated the village by effortlessly dismantling the terrorist forces that had taken over the village. During his departure, Iron Man was engaged by two US Air Force fighter jets.
  • Assassination of Ten Rings Operatives

    A plan by Obadiah Stane to betray Raza Hamidmi al-Wazar's Ten Rings cell, kill them, and steal the Iron Man Armor: Mark I from them.
  • The Black Panther

    Prince T'Challa of Wakanda adopts the mantle of the "Black Panther" as his father, King T'Chaka, retires from the role. The Panther Habit armor is passed on from father to son.
  • Theft of the Arc Reactor

    Stark answers a call from Potts, but is unable to talk to her as Stane uses his Sonic Taser to immobilize him. Stane reveals that he was the one who ordered the attack on him as he removes Stark's Arc Reactor. Stane asks if Stark truly thinks that an idea he has is his before unplugging the magnet from the reactor. Stane admires the reactor and threatens Potts before leaving.
  • Duel of Los Angeles

    The final confrontation between Tony Stark and Obadiah Stane, who wanted to kill and overthrow Stark as CEO of his company. It was also an attempt conducted by Stane to hide evidence of his illegal activities with the Ten Rings by killing Pepper Potts. Stane used a stolen miniaturized Arc Reactor to power his own armor, but Stark attacked Stane before he could kill Potts, culminating to a showdown across the streets of LA and ending in a standoff on top of SI HQ.
  • Kidnapping of Lina's Son

    Knowing that she is dating Stark, the Ten Rings kidnaps Lina's son so as to blackmail her to obtain the blueprints from the Iron Man Armor. Lina tries to obtain the blueprints but J.A.R.V.I.S. stops her, as she manages to escape Stark locates and asks for an explanation. Three hours later, Stark and Ross have an argument in Cairo that ends with veiled threats to one another. After that, Stark realizes the Palladium core of his Arc Reactor is slowly poisoning him, and while he searches for a cure he keeps his condition a secret.

    An attack on Iron Man that happened when he came across an illegal diamond mine in India ran by the Ten Rings. Two terrorists managed to disable his armor, but Iron Man was able to escape and recharge it with the help of Abby Rose.

    In one of her earliest S.H.I.E.L.D. missions, Natasha Romanoff is given the task of escorting a nuclear scientist out of Iran. The Winter Soldier attacks them in Odessa, Ukraine, firing a bullet which goes through Romanoff's abdomen and hits the scientist, successfully killing him.

  • Ambush in Rio de Janeiro

    Thaddeus Ross' unit, having traced Bruce Banner to the bottling factory, raids Rocinha under the field command of Emil Blonsky. Bruce transforms into the Hulk, breaking his 190-day streak without "incident", then defeats the task force and escapes.
  • Duel of Monaco

    At the Circuit de Monaco, Stark replaces Team Stark's regular driver DiFilipo in Race G. Ivan Vanko attacks him between turns 16 and 17 by the harbor. Stark dons the Mark V, a portable and lightweight Iron Man armor, which he uses to defeat Vanko. Later that evening, Stark visits Vanko in prison before flying back to the United States of America with Pepper.

    Justin Hammer orchestrates Ivan Vanko's escape from prison to have him work on Hammer Industries' own weapon-suit program.
  • Duel at Tony Stark's Mansion

    On Tony Stark's birthday, he is inconsolable over his inability to solve his palladium poisoning dilemma and gets drunk, which leads to a confrontation with James Rhodes, who dons the Mark II Iron Man armor. The fight wrecks a portion of Stark's Malibu mansion, and Rhodes leaves with the Mark II suit.
  • Attack on Jotunheim

    Thor, Sif, Loki, and the Warriors Three travel to Jotunheim to seek justice for the actions of the Frost Giants. A fight breaks out between the Asgardians and Frost Giants, but Odin arrives riding Sleipnir to break up the fight.
  • Infiltration into Odin's Vault

    On Asgard, Thor's coronation is suddenly interrupted when Odin senses a break-in in his treasure room. The culprits are discovered to be Frost Giants, and the Destroyer kills them. Thor is enraged at what he sees as an act of war.
  • Battle at Stark Expo

    Justin Hammer's Stark Expo presentation is hijacked by Ivan Vanko, who uses the drones to attack the crowd. Tony Stark flies to the Expo to stop Vanko, defeating the Hammer Drones with the help of Rhodey (War Machine), the Black Widow and Happy Hogan. Vanko is killed in an explosion that destroys the Oracle Pavilion, while Hammer is arrested for breaking Vanko out of prison. Stark flies Pepper Potts to safety, they kiss. Rhodey decides to keep the War Machine armor for himself.
  • Infiltration into Hammer Industries Headquarters

    Before leaving Hammer Industries, Black Widow downloads all of the information stored on Hammer's mainframe and destroys the facility.
  • Infiltration into the S.H.I.E.L.D. Crater Investigation Site

    Thor and Foster head towards the site of the S.H.I.E.L.D. installation erected around Mjølnir. Thor sneaks in and tries to lift Mjølnir, but fails and is captured.
  • Battle at Culver University

    At Culver University, Betty Ross walks Bruce Banner to the bus station in the early morning. As they are crossing the campus, they are attacked by the Military and Emil Blonsky, who seems to adapt well to the Bio Tech Enhancement upgrade, but is still beaten by the Hulk, getting nearly every bone in his body pulverized. Natasha Romanoff witnesses Banner's transformation and Blonsky's enhanced performance from afar.
  • Battle of Puente Antiguo

    The Destroyer attacks S.H.I.E.L.D. agents stationed at Puente Antiguo. Thor and his fellow Asgardians fight it, and during the battle, Thor proves himself worthy of his godly heritage and his powers are restored, allowing him to defeat the Destroyer.
  • Duel at the Rainbow Bridge

    Thor, Sif, and the Warriors Three return to Asgard, where Thor reveals Loki's plan to seize the throne. Unfortunately, in the ensuing battle between them, Thor is forced to destroy the Rainbow Bridge to prevent Loki from destroying Jotunheim using the Bifrost and committing genocide against the Frost Giants. This action strands him in Asgard, unable to return to Earth. Loki falls into space and ends appearing in the Sanctuary.
  • Duel of Harlem

    The military captures Banner, but Emil Blonsky forces Sterns to inject him with the blood products he developed from Banner's blood sample. The process mutates Blonsky into the Abomination, while Sterns is infected with Banner's blood through an open wound on his head, gaining his own mutation. Banner convinces Thaddeus Ross to let him try and stop the Abomination. The two creatures fight in Harlem, with Hulk defeating the Abomination and fleeing the scene immediately afterwards.

    Natasha Romanoff discovers the mutated Sterns in his laboratory, subdues him and takes him into custody.

    Steve Rogers' body is thawed out of the ice, and he is taken to New York City. Phil Coulson watches as Rogers is thawed.
  • Steve Rogers Wakes Up

    Steve Rogers wakes up, he listens to the radio in his room, hearing a baseball game from 1941. Rogers remembers this game, and realizes that something is wrong. Running through the wall, Rogers tries to run away from S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters building. Rogers finds himself in Times Square, taken aback by what he sees. Nick Fury arrives and breaks the news to Rogers: that he has been asleep for almost 70 years.
  • Infiltration into the Helicarrier

    As part of a training exercise, Hawkeye disguises himself as a spy and breaks into the Helicarrier to trick the Black Widow into thinking he is stealing information about the Avengers Initiative. After the exercise, Nick Fury tells them the Initiative will only be put into action when the world needs the team most.
  • Assassination of Mikhail Fjodorov

    Black Widow is sent to a mission in Moscow, Russia, where she searches for missing Stark Industries technology. Disguised as Tatiana Sokolova, she works at a night club. While she tries to interrogate Mikhail Fjodorov, one of the world's most successful illegal arms dealers, Fjodorov is killed by an unknown woman. Romanoff is forced to leave the club, fighting several security men in the process.
  • Ambush at the Red Square Hotel

    After she returns to a hotel, Romanoff is attacked by a team of masked mercenaries, but she defeats them and receives a SIM card to reach the mysterious woman she saw in the night club.
  • Infiltration into Yuri Klementiev's Yacht

    Coulson gives Romanoff the necessary equipment to infiltrate the yacht belonging to Yuri Klementiev, one of General Starodoub's business partners, where she meets Sofia again, an encounter which costs them the life of agent Gennady Markov.
  • Ambush at the Sochi Olympic Hockey Rink

    A few days later, Romanoff confronts Sofia in a sport hall in Sochi, where she is defeated and almost drowned but she is saved at the last moment by Phil Coulson, who is following a pair of goons working for the arms dealer General Starodoub.
  • Infiltration into Sojourn Enterprises Headquarters

    Phil Coulson discovers that Sofia's employer is the billionaire Richard Frampton, Romanoff infiltrates his headquarters in Vladivostok. She discovers that Frampton works for the Ten Rings terrorist organization and that he has made a Jericho missile that will explode near the border between Russia and North Korea, greatly destabilizing the world peace.

    Romanoff infiltrates the launching area and destroys the missile. Both Frampton and Sofia are killed in the explosion.
  • Destruction of Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S.

    Aided by Thanos and his servant, "The Other", Loki activates the Tesseract from within the Sanctuary. It teleports him to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Facility in the Mojave Desert, where S.H.I.E.L.D. is conducting Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S.. Loki steals the Tesseract and uses the Scepter given to him by Thanos to control the minds of several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, including Erik Selvig and Clint Barton. The Tesseract's energy destroys the base. In response, Nick Fury reactivates the Avengers Initiative.
  • Skirmish in Germany

    A mission planned by Loki to steal Iridium in Stuttgart, Germany in order to stabilize the Tesseract and assemble the portal to incite the Chitauri Invasion. Loki surrendered and was quickly apprehended by the Avengers, but the situation quickly developed into a brief skirmish amongst Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor, who sought to return Loki to Asgard. They abandoned their fight, agreeing to take Loki into custody on the Helicarrier.
  • Attack on the Helicarrier

    A successful attempt by the captive Loki to escape from S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. His plan involved possessing a rogue team of agents led by a mind-controlled Hawkeye to disable the Helicarrier's engines mid-air, inciting chaos among those on board. Loki was able to scatter the heroes, killing Phil Coulson in the process, and fled on a Quinjet to New York City, where he would continue carrying out his plan to subjugate Earth.
  • Battle of Hong Kong

    War Machine battles more allies of the Ten Rings. Iron Man contacts him to request help in the Battle of New York, but Rhodes is attacked by a tank using Hammer Industries technology. Unable to call for back-up because most of the United States Armed Forces is fighting the Chitauri invasion, War Machine manages to defeat the attackers and immediately flies to New York to help Stark.

    A major and decisive battle during the Chitauri Invasion in Manhattan, New York City, in which the Avengers were able to defeat Loki and his Chitauri army and thwart his plans of subjugating Earth.
  • Resurrection of Phil Coulson

    An operation ordered by Nick Fury to bring Phil Coulson back to life after his death prior to the Battle of New York, as part of Project T.A.H.I.T.I. Using GH.325, a drug created from the blood of a deceased Kree, Coulson was successfully brought back to life. However, due to severe mental trauma, his memories were rewritten to forget about the operation.
  • Arrest of Benjamin Pollack and Claire Weiss

    A mission undertaken by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jasper Sitwell in order to capture the two thieves and retrieve the Chitauri Gun.
  • Robbery of Vistacorp

    Scott Lang infiltrates the Vistacorp Headquarters to return about four million dollars to the customers who had been defrauded by the company. Lang then breaks into the mansion of his former boss, Geoff Zorick. He steals many of Zorick's belongings and drives Zorick's car into the mansion's pool.

    In Asgard, a legion of birds attack the home of the Asgardians. The Warriors Three and Lady Sif manage to defeat them, the birds escape and the group, now with Thor, follows them in to an ancient castle where each of Thor's friends is corrupted by their heart's desire, except Thor who finds the responsible for the recent events, a Frost Giant who can use Magic by wearing the Crown of Fools. However, Thor manages to defeat him and releases his friends from the hallucinations.
  • Battle of Vanaheim

    Thor's army, including Skurge[84], arrives in Vanaheim, the birthplace of Hogun and the final realm they must save. They defeat the Marauders who have been terrorizing the area, and Hogun decides to stay among his people while the rest of the army goes back to Asgard.

  • Second Battle of Svartalfheim

Taking place on Earth at the Convergence's epicenter, the Old Royal Naval College in the Greenwich borough of London, the engagement was fought by Thor and his human allies against the Dark Elves, led by Malekith, who intended to unleash the Aether across the Nine Realms to plunge the universe into darkness.

    Gamora arrives at Conjunction's Casino for a meeting with the Collector, though she is first drawn into a brawl there. The Collector contacts Gamora, tasking her with finding the Orb.

    Captain America and Black Widow thwart the Cadre's kidnapping attempt on Professor Sana Amanat in Brooklyn. While there, Steve remembers growing up in the area.
  • Attack on the Zodiac Cell

    Captain America, along with Black Widow and Brock Rumlow, take down a terrorist cell that stole the Zodiac weapon from S.H.I.E.L.D..
  • Destruction of the Chinese Theatre

    At the TCL Chinese Theatre, Jack Taggart succumbs to the effects of Extremis and explodes. Stark Industries security chief Happy Hogan is caught in the explosion and severely injured.
  • Battle of Rose Hill

    A second attempt on Tony Stark's life after his initial assassination attempt in Malibu, California. The attack on Stark was perpetrated by Eric Savin and Ellen Brandt, disguised as Homeland Security agents. It was also an attempt to recover several documents incriminating A.I.M.'s Extremis tests with the Mandarin's terrorist campaign.
  • Destruction of Tony Stark's Mansion

    The Mandarin responds to Tony's threat by destroying his Mansion with helicopter gunships. Pepper and Maya Hansen (who had come to warn Stark) survive the attack, and Stark dons the unstable Mark XLII armor to fly himself to safety.
  • Kidnapping of James Rhodes

    While investigating a clue on the Mandarin's whereabouts in Pakistan, James Rhodes is ambushed and captured by one of the Extremis Soldiers.
  • Kidnapping of President Ellis

    The first segment of a two-part plot thought up by Aldrich Killian to assassinate Matthew Ellis on live television. Prior to the kidnapping, Killian and his Extremis subordinates captured the Iron Patriot armor, where Eric Savin then donned the suit and hijacked Air Force One under the guise of James Rhodes, killing the Secret Service agents in the plane.
  • Infiltration into Aldrich Killian's Mansion

    With Harley Keener's help, Stark traces the Mandarin to Miami and infiltrates his headquarters using makeshift weapons. Inside, he discovers the Mandarin who appears on television is actually an actor, Trevor Slattery, who is oblivious to the actions carried out in his name. The Mandarin is a creation of Aldrich Killian, who appropriated Maya Hansen's Extremis as a cure for his own disabilities and expanded the program to include injured war veterans.
  • Battle on the Norco

    A mission conducted by Tony Stark and James Rhodes in an attempt to rescue Matthew Ellis and Pepper Potts from Aldrich Killian, following an attack on Air Force One. Previously, Killian instigated a terrorist campaign across the United States, using the Mandarin and the involvement of the Ten Rings as a front.
  • Theft of the Scepter

    Nicholas Cooper discovers during a lunch break that the connection between the Scepter and the Tesseract is much simpler than he originally thought. But just as he makes the discovery, his former colleague, Mark Smith, shoots and kills him. Now a HYDRA operative, Smith takes the Scepter and begins to transport it to Baron Strucker with the help of Mark Basso.
  • Kidnapping of Trevor Slattery

    Posing as a documentary filmmaker, Ten Rings agent Jackson Norriss visits Slattery and interviews him about how he became involved with Aldrich Killian, going on to ask about Slattery's mother and his early career. As the interview goes on, Norriss attacks the guards and kills Herman, using a gun he had hidden isnide his camera. Norriss reveals he has been ordered to take Slattery to the true Mandarin, who is a real terrorist leader and not a fabrication of Killian's as Slattery assumed.
  • Hijacking and Retaking of the Lemurian Star

    Captain America and the Black Widow join agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. subdivision STRIKE as they recapture the Lemurian Star and rescue the hostages. After fighting the pirate leader Georges Batroc, Captain America discovers the Black Widow extracting data from the ship's computers, an element of the mission he was not informed about.
  • Attack on Nick Fury

    An assassination attempt on S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury in Washington, D.C. It was orchestrated by HYDRA, on orders from Alexander Pierce after Fury began investigating Project Insight following the hijacking of the Lemurian Star. The attack was carried out by Winter Soldier and several undercover HYDRA operatives disguised as police officers. It proved to be a significant event that caused a chain reaction culminating in the HYDRA Uprising.
  • Chase of Captain America

    On his way back to the hospital to retrieve the USB, Rogers is attacked by several STRIKE operatives in an elevator, but manages to defeat all of them. He jumps out of the elevator to avoid arrest, drives away on his motorcycle and evades an attacking Quinjet. Pierce tells the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. that Rogers is now a wanted fugitive and must be hunted down.
  • Battle of Washington, D.C.

    Captain America, Black Widow and Falcon abduct Jasper Sitwell and interrogate him about the nature of Project Insight. He reveals Arnim Zola's algorithm will seek out any individual or group that poses a threat to HYDRA. The Insight Helicarriers will then eliminate the targets. The Winter Soldier attacks, kills Sitwell and battles Rogers. During the fight, Rogers removes the Winter Soldier's mask and recognizes him as Bucky Barnes. A S.H.I.E.L.D. team soon arrives and arrests the trio.
  • Battle at the Triskelion

    The first open battle between HYDRA and S.H.I.E.L.D., and the first major event in the HYDRA Uprising after their existence was revealed. HYDRA, thought to have been defeated in WWII, had survived and infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D., and planned to use Project Insight to create a new world order. Captain America exposed HYDRA's existence to S.H.I.E.L.D. and with the help of Falcon and Maria Hill, terminated Project Insight while Black Widow leaked all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files to the public domain.
  • The Winter Soldier's Defection

    The Winter Soldier returns to the HYDRA compound to retrieve his son, but discovers Petya has been moved to another base. Barnes claims that Captain America is dead, but then attacks the scientists, in an attempt to hijack the computers and discover where Petya is being held.

    Wanda and Pietro Maximoff are prepared to experiment with the Scepter. Wanda asks Pietro if he is sure he wants to go through with the experiment, and Pietro assures Wanda that they will soon have the power they need to fight.

    At the Captain America Exhibition, in the Smithsonian Institution, the Winter Soldier finds out who he really is, James Barnes.
  • Infiltration into the Cloud Tombs of Praxius

    Under the orders of Ronan the Accuser, Korath leads a platoon of Sakaarans to take Nebula and Gamora to Praxius IX when a lead for the Orb appears there. However, the lead turns out to be false.
  • Massacre of the Kylosians

    Under Thanos' orders, Ronan the Accuser attacks the planet Kylos, forcing its population to divide into two halves. Drax is separated from his wife, Ovette and his daughter, Kamaria, during this division. Ronan kills the half that Ovette and Kamaria are in. Drax watches Ronan laugh while he slaughters Drax's wife and daughter.
  • Massacre of the Korbinites

    On Korbin, Nebula battles Korbinites, fighting under her father, Thanos' instruction. She is caught off guard by a grenade and a Korbinite goes to attack her, but her adoptive sister Gamora arrives and kills it from behind. Nebula angrily tells her sister she did not ask for her help, but Gamora notes that she always needs it nonetheless. She then tells Nebula Thanos wants them back on the ship, as he has found an Infinity Stone.
  • Battle of Morag

    Quill uses a Gravity Mine to draw the Orb out of its field, and is successful. At that moment, Korath and his soldiers break in. Korath asks how he knows about it, but Quill claims to just be a junker looking around. When Korath makes off with the Orb, Quill breaks the Plasma Sphere, which disintegrates the soldiers. He then shoots Korath with his Quad Blasters and picks up the Orb when the Kree drops it. Korath shoots at him but he dodges.
  • Attack on Peter Quill

    Star-Lord travels to Xandar and attempts to give the Orb to the Broker, but upon learning that Ronan the Accuser seeks it for himself, the Broker cancels the deal. Gamora attacks Quill and makes off with the Orb. Two criminals, Rocket Raccoon and Groot, attempt to capture Quill to collect Yondu Udonta's bounty, and they, Quill, and Gamora are all apprehended by the Nova Corps and imprisoned on the Kyln.
  • Escape from the Kyln

    Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot stage a mass breakout on the Kyln. Assisted by Drax the Destroyer, they shut down the prison's power, triggering emergency containment procedures, and then hijack the prison's watchtower.
  • Skirmish on Knowhere

    A conflict caused by Drax the Destroyer during the Quest for the Orb, which houses an infinity stone. Taking place on Knowhere, the event was triggered when Drax, having traveled to Knowhere with his new allies in order to give the Orb to the Collector, sent out a message to Ronan the Accuser in order to draw out and kill him.
  • Massacre at the Kyln

    Ronan and Nebula invade the Kyln but find that Gamora has already fled. Before leaving, Ronan orders for the prison to be "cleansed".
  • Battle of Xandar

    Ronan the Accuser launched a blitzkrieg attempt by using his entire army of Sakaarans to bomb the planet's homeworld. The Dark Aster crashed into the center of Xandar, but the Guardians successfully utilized the Power Stone to vanquish Ronan and save the planet from complete and utter destruction. The Guardians had surrendered the Stone to Irani Rael soon after, and the Corps had pardoned all members of the Guardians as a sign of their gratitude.

    The Battle on Sovereign was a mission employed by the Sovereign people, who hired the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop an Abilisk from terrorizing their planet.
  • Escape from the Sovereign Fleet

    The Sovereign send their fleet to chase and attack the Guardians of the Galaxy, heavily damaging the Milano. The group is forced to crash-land on a nearby planet, but before the Sovereign fleet can kill them, it is single-handedly destroyed by Ego. On landing on the planet, Berhert, the Guardians argue, when Ego suddenly lands and reveals himself to be Quill's father.
  • Attack on Berhert

    The Attack on Berhert was a successful ambush on the Guardians of the Galaxy undertaken by Yondu Udonta's faction of Ravagers, acting on orders from the Sovereign.
  • Attack on Gamora

    Nebula arrives at Ego's planet in the ship from the Ravagers and tries to kill Gamora. Gamora fights back, and the two of them end up fighting in the caverns beneath the planet's surface. Gamora gets the upper hand, but lets her sister live. Nebula takes the opportunity to pin down Gamora, but changes her mind about killing her, satisfied with just having beaten her for once. Desiring a new body for his consciousness, Ultron breached U-GIN's Genetic Research Facility to form a new vibranium synthetic body in U-GIN's Regeneration Cradle. The Avengers arrived, led by Captain America, and chased Ultron's U-GIN Truck across the streets of Seoul. Although the Avengers took custody of the Cradle, Ultron kidnapped Black Widow.
  • Battle of Sokovia

    The Battle of Sokovia was a major battle between the Avengers and Ultron in Novi Grad, Sokovia. Convinced that humanity was the greatest threat to peace on Earth, Ultron planned to commit global genocide by creating a device that would lift the city of Novi Grad skyward and cause it to recreate a meteoric impact when it crashed into Earth. The actions of the Avengers, however, resulted in the threat being neutralized and the Ultron Offensive being brought to an end.

    Scott Lang and his team break into the house of a man who has apparently left his home unguarded, leaving his large safe unprotected. Lang quickly finds ways to break through the house's security systems, as well as getting through the safe's doors. Once he enters the safe, all he finds is an old suit. He takes it and escapes with the rest of the team.
  • Escape from the San Francisco Police Station

    Scared by his experience in the suit, Lang goes back to the Pym Residence to return it. The police arrive and arrest him, then take him to prison. While in prison, Lang meets Pym in person for the first time. He reveals to Lang that he caused all of the gossip that eventually got to Luis learning about the safe. Afterwards, Lang is given the suit by ants sent by Pym. He quickly puts on the suit and escapes the prison by riding on an ant. However, he soon becomes lightheaded and passes out.
  • Duel at the Avengers Compound

    Scott Lang is sent to an old Stark Industries facility to retrieve a device that will help him steal the Yellowjacket Suit and complete his training. As Lang arrives at the facility, he discovers that it has been remodeled into the Avengers Compound. Lang encounters Falcon, who refuses to let him steal the device. They fight, allowing Lang to put his training to use. Falcon is defeated and tells Natasha Romanoff not to tell Steve Rogers. Lang takes the device and heads back to San Francisco.

    In Cleveland, Helmut Zemo ambushes retired HYDRA general Vasily Karpov. Zemo hangs him upside down over a sink, slowly filling it up to torture him into giving him the information he needs about the mission of December 16, 1991 as he finds the Winter Soldier Book, which contains the words used to trigger the Winter Soldier's conditioning. When Karpov persistently refuses to give him information, Zemo leaves him to drown.
  • Bombing of the Vienna International Centre

    The Bombing of the Vienna International Centre was a terrorist attack on a United Nations ceremony in Austria, orchestrated by Helmut Zemo in order to locate Bucky Barnes in his campaign to divide and destroy the Avengers. It resulted in the death of twelve people including T'Chaka, the King of Wakanda.

    The Capture of Winter Soldier was a successful operation undertaken by the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre and GSG 9 to find the Winter Soldier, who was believed to be responsible for the Bombing of the Vienna International Centre and bring him into custody.

    Clint Barton causes an explosion outside the Avengers Compound, forcing Vision to briefly leave the compound so he can get away with Scarlet Witch. However, Maximoff initially refuses to leave, giving Vision time to arrive and fight Barton. Because of his far superior abilities, Vision defeats Barton. Maximoff then decides to use her own powers to restrain the synthetic being, allowing them plenty of time to escape. Barton then informs her that they have one more stop to make first.

    Bucky Barnes and Ayo sit near a fire in Wakanda, preparing to test whether Barnes has been fully cured of his brainwashing. Barnes is nervous, although Ayo assures him that she will not allow him to hurt anyone. Ayo says Barnes' trigger words, forcing Barnes to reflect on his past as the Winter Soldier. However, Barnes does not turn into the Winter Soldier, causing him to get emotional. Ayo happily tells Barnes that he is free from his programming.

Thanos retrieved the stone and then used it to trick the Guardians of the Galaxy and kidnap Gamora.

    The Battle of Titan was a conflict on the Titans' homeworld that pitted Thanos against Iron Man, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and Doctor Strange.

    The Ambush on Thanos was a planned attack organized by the Avengers aimed at resurrecting the victims of the Snap by retrieving the Infinity Stones from Thanos. The attempt ultimately was unsuccessful, however, as Thanos had destroyed the Stones to avoid temptation, rendering the goal impossible. Thor settled for the hollow victory of killing the Mad Titan out of revenge for the deaths of the victims, effectively ending the Infinity War.

    The Massacre in Tokyo was a planned mass murder carried out by the masked vigilante Ronin and aimed at executing the members of a Yakuza faction led by Akihiko. Barton realizes Natasha Romanoff is behind him and turns to see his friend for the first time in 5 years. She informs him that the Avengers have a plan, and while he is reluctant to let himself have any hope, she takes his hand and convinces him to return with them.
  • Time Heist

    Each wearing an Advanced Tech Suit, the Avengers stride to the new Quantum Tunnel. Steve Rogers gives them a pep talk and tells them to be careful and look out for each other, with the assurance that they will win, whatever it takes. Moments after leaving, the Avengers return, with one exception: Natasha Romanoff, having sacrificed herself for Clint Barton in 2014. Unbeknownst to the others, Nebula is actually the 2014 version still with intense loyalty to Thanos.

    The Blip was the resurrection of all the victims of Thanos' Snap. It occurred after the Time Heist, in which the Avengers had taken Infinity Stones from different timelines to assemble the Nano Gauntlet, which Bruce Banner used to restore half of the universe's population.

    Peter goes down to the sewers to track down the Lizard, a mutated form of Dr. Curt Connors. After getting injured, he heads to Gwen Stacy's house and confesses his origin story and identity.
  • Battle at Midtown High

    The Lizard attacks at Peter's school. Peter goes down into the sewers after asking Gwen to make an antidote at OsCorp. The Lizard attacks the NYPD and turns them into lizards.
  • Battle at OsCorp Tower

    The antidote is released into the air and Curt Connors returns to human form. George Stacy is critically wounded and asks Peter to promise to look after Gwen. Dr. Curt Connors is taken into custody.
  • Peter's 15th Birthday

  • New CEO

    Harry Osborn returns home to see his terminally sick father. After learning the illness is genetic, Harry begins showing symptoms. After Norman dies, Harry is appointed as the new CEO and learns that Spider-Man's blood may work as a cure.
  • Duel at Times Square

    While working in an Oscorp laboratory, mild-mannered electrical engineer Max Dillon accidentally shocks himself and falls into a tank of genetically-engineered electric eels. They attack him and he mutates into a living electric generator. Unaware of the extent of his power, Dillon wanders into Times Square, accidentally causes a power outage, and is stopped by Peter, as Spider-Man. Dillon is taken to the Raft.
  • Battle at Oscorp's Power Grid

    Electro causes another power outage, Peter and Gwen restore power and overload Electro's body, killing him.
  • Hunt for Spider-Man

    Harry introduces himself to Peter, who has begun making a name for himself as a photographer for the Daily Bugle, and asks him to help him track down Spider-Man. Peter is unsure of what effects the transfusion would have and wary of the possibility of Harry suffering a mutation similar to Dr. Connors. He later refuses Harry as Spider-Man, angering him.
  • Escape from The Raft

    Donald Menken frames Harry for covering up Dillon's accident, removes him as CEO, and takes control of Oscorp. Harry proposes a deal with Dillon, who now calls himself "Electro", to get back inside the Oscorp building.
  • The Green Goblin

    Upon getting back into Oscorp, Harry finds the venom from the now-destroyed genetically altered spiders. However, after he forces Menken to inject him with the venom, it accelerates his illness and turns him into a goblin-like creature, but the built-in emergency protocol in an armored suit restores his health.
  • Battle at the Clock Tower

    Harry, as the Green Goblin, arrives equipped with Norman's weaponry. Upon seeing Gwen, he deduces Spider-Man's secret identity and swearing revenge for being refused the blood transfusion, taking her to the top of a large clock tower. Peter manages to subdue the Goblin but is unable to save Gwen, who falls to her death. Guilt-ridden and depressed, Peter ends his career as Spider-Man.
  • Peter's 16th Birthday
