Winkelman v. Parma City School District
The Winkelman's, parents of an autist child, had a case against the local Parma City School District in order to get a FAPE for their child. They wanted reimbursement for a private school, because they believed he wasn't getting the appropriate education in the public school (Batchelder, 2008). The Parma School District affirmed that he is getting a FAPE by his placement in a public elementary school.
