First Investment

Warren bought three shares of Cities Service Preferred when he was 11 years old. This was his first lesson in patiently investing.

U.S. House of Representatices

Jan 1, 1942

Warren's father, Howard, is elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Warren's family moves to Fredricksburg, Wirginia. Buffett attended Woodrow Wilson High School.

University

Sep 1, 1946

Warren attended University of Pennsylvania to study business when he was 16. He stayed for two years then attended University of Nebraska.

Master's Degree

May 1, 1951

Warren earned his masters degree at Columbia Business School.

Warren Buffett formed Buffett Partnership Ltd.

Berkshire Hathaway

May 10, 1965

Warren buys Berkshire Hathaway and started to become one of the world's richest men.
