This battle took place on the 19 February 1942. On that day, 242 Japanese aircraft, in two separate raids, attacked the town, ships in Darwin's harbour and the town's two airfields. Australia, US and Japan were involved. -
Leyte Gulf
This battle happened during 23–26 October 1944. It happened as part of a strategy aimed at isolating Japan from the countries it had occupied in Southeast Asia. Countries involved were US, Australia and Japan.
