Sherman's walk on sea
in June of 1864, Sherman ordered an assault on Johnston's lines along the Kennesaw Mountain, and after hours of harsh battle, sherman called off the attack, losing thousands of men in a matter of a few hours. He learned that it was better to besiege the enemy and attack. -
