Numa ruled from 715-674 BCE. He was the second king of Rome after Romulus. Many religious and political institutions are tied to him such as the Roman calendar, the cult of Mars, and the cult of Jupiter.

Rule of the first of the Roman kings, Romulus
Romulus ruled from 753- 716 BCE. He and his twin brother Remus founded Rome. It is believed that Romulus ended up killing his brother over an argument about who would rule the city.
