    Was caused because of the French and Indian War that England suggested, “Union between ye Royal, Proprietary, and Charter Governments.”. Then representatives from northern colonies and the Iroquois met in Albany, New York to make a “plan of union”. Each colony in this would elect “ delegates” for an “American continental assembly”.

  • Sugar act

    The law was passed on April 5, 1764 and parliament had passed a modified version of the Sugar and molasses acts. The sugar act actually had nothing to do with sugar at all! It was an act that reduced the cost of molasses from sixpence’ to three pence a pound.

    The stamp act was passed by British Parliament in March 22, 1765. It was passed to American colonists causing them to pay a tax on any paper that was printed there.

    The Boston Massacre was a street fight that occurred on March 5, 1770, between a Patriot mob, throwing snowballs, stones, and sticks, and a squad of British soldiers. Several colonists were killed and this led to a campaign by speech-writers to rouse the ire of the citizenry.
