George Washington and his army crosses the Delaware River on Christmas Day at night. Washington surprises the Hessians and is victorious. Patriots win and gain a huge confidence boost. -

George Clark attacks Fort Sackville with 170 troops. He killed five captive British allied Indians which secured the surrender of the British. The Americans won and gained Fort Sackville. -
Battle of Bohomme Richard vs. Serapis
The Bohomme Richard met Serapis and fought in the sea. The Bohomme Richard was sailing on the coast of Great Britain. The Patriots won even though the Bohomme Richard sank after the battle. -

Americans surrender to the British. Americans experience worst loss of the war by losing 3000 soldiers and only killing 250 redcoats. -

Washington fights Cornwallis at Yorktown, VA. Attacks with 17,000 troops and ends the Revolutionary War. The Treaty of Paris was signed September 3, 1783
