    In 1716-1717 the french colonial rule expanded. France controlled territories like Luisiana and Illinois. France owned many territories by this time, and Spain wanted to gain more territories in order to get ahead of France. There was constant competition among France, Spain and Britain to gain more territories in the new world.     Boston Tea Party
    Great Britain was in charge of many American territories. The majority of their goods and services were profiting Britain. Americans were outraged at Britain tax policies against them. This led to a deteriorating relationship between. As a result of this, disgruntled dissidents in Boston dumped extremely expensive British tea in Boston Harbor in December 1773. This event started a domino effect, that culminated in Americas' Declaration of Independence, and eventual freedom from England.

    Americas' Declaration of Independence
    Americans had grown tired of being governed by an unjust monarchy. They were on a journey to find their equality. 'Thomas Paine's, "common sense", first published in 1776, it urges the American people to break free from Britain's monarchy. It was a pre-cursor for the revolution. Within six months, Thomas Jefferson, "Declaration of Independence", confirmed America's break from England. The Declaration addresses one's God given rights to equality 1.

    Samuel Slater, brought his business experience to the United States of America. He used his experience to help built the first American 'water-powered' mill in pawtucket, Massachusetts. His success inspired other Americans to build other Mills in Rhode Island and other States. President Jefferson ban goods made in Britain.     America finally reached its turning point. Thomas Jefferson ban of British trade, led American businessmen, to invest in their Country. Francis Cabot Lowell, who had memorized British mills, had convinced the wealthy Americans help to build new mills. His advances were successful and in later years.This had secured the future of the countries prosperity. Today America is among the top world powers.
