VCR
I don't remember the first VHS that I watched, but when I was born, this was the way to watch movies. My all-time favorite VHS had to be Disney's Beauty and the Beast! -
Cassette Tapes
This was part of my life from the beginning. I loved listening to the Phantom of the Opera on our cassette player! My family still owns every Harry Potter book on cassette. -
Record Player
We had over 100 records that we would play! I remember singing or dancing along! My family loved the old school technology. -
Chip's Challenge
Bummer! This is the BEST computer game ever invented. Well, at least, I thought so at the time. I spent countless hours on our old boxy computer playing Chip's Challenge and progressing from level to level. -
CD Walkman
I remember mowing lawns while playing my CD Walkman. I don't know how I could hear any of the music, but I felt cool. Even though it was a bit older by then, I got my first one when I was about 8. -
DVD
I actually hated DVDs initially. With a VHS, I could stop a movie and move locations without losing my spot. Plus, DVDs always seemed to get scratched so easily. -
Floppy Disk
I used floppy disks much earlier, but I remember still having a project in school my sophomore year where we had to put the entire project on the floppy disk. -
Cell Phone
At 16, I got my first cell phone. It was a basic flip phone. I loved it. Shout out to T9 word! I guess I didn't have many friends, because I only had 10-20 texts a month. -
Document Cameras
I first saw this when I was a Junior in high school. Before that, my teachers always used overhead projectors. -
First Laptop
I got my first laptop right before my Freshman year of college. This was the moment I finally felt like I was an adult. -
Smart Phone
I finally jumped on the smart phone bandwagon 4 years ago. Samsung Galaxy Light. That was my first smart phone. I bought it right as it was going out...typical.
