My Personal Timeline

By myoung
  • Birth

    Birth
Fortunately, I was born. To this day it is highly regarded as a great move. Good for my parents.
  • Dogs

    Dogs
Sometime in the spring of 2013, my family got 2 dogs: Brody and Brooke. One could argue that this sparked a chain of events that led to my parents divorce. To be honest it was worth it. Probably for the best anyways.
  • Driver's Permit

    Driver's Permit
On this day in history I got my learners permit for driving. Looking back, I definitely had God on my side because I should've crashed a couple times by now.
  • Big Biscuit Job

    Big Biscuit Job
On this day in history, I started as a busser at the Big Biscuit restaurant. This marks the first time in my life that I successfully secured the bag.
  • Promotion

    Promotion
I became a server on this day due to months of hard work as a busser, and then a couple of days training. Again, another instance of me getting to that coin. I truly am redefining the word "thriving."
  • Graduation/KU

    Graduation/KU
Looking at the general trend of my life, I think its safe to say I'm on track for the "traditional" educational experience. I predict that I will graduate from Southwest on time and attend the University of Kansas. Probably major in economics, education, or psychology.
  • Dogs Death (and aftermath)

    Dogs Death (and aftermath)
According to google, yellow labs live approximately 13 years. They will most likely die in 2026, so I will be thrown into a deep depression. By avoiding substances, surrounding myself with positive friends, and focusing on myself, I plan to be happy again within 6 months after the death of my dogs.
  • Marriage

    Marriage
I will really let myself go during college. However, I will work on the glow up when its all over. I should be a total babe by approximately 2028. Therefore, I will meet my soulmate, fall in love, and get cuffed by 2030.
  • Kids

    Kids
Hopefully it will not be an accident, and my wife must consent of course. But I hope to become a father when I turn 35, because its all downhill from there anyway.
  • Death

    Death
Looking at my family history, I could die at 70 or 100. It really is all over the place. But I think it would be most fitting for me to die at the age of 97, so I could just get a look at the new millennium. The universe didn't owe me anything, but it will bless me regardless. For that reason, I will reflect on a life full of happiness and fulfillment in the moments before my death.
  • Reflection Question #1

My timeline reflects the idea that the amount of fulfillment you feel in life does not increase in a linear fashion. It will have ups and downs.
  • Reflection Question #2

If I had the opportunity to change any events in the past, I wouldn't. No matter how bad something seems it still contributes to who you will be in the future. As long as you're happy at the end of the day, nothing else matters, especially anything in the past.
  • Reflection Question #3

My future is as flexible as I want it to be. This timeline is how I predict my future at the moment, but it is very much subject to change.
