Baseball
Baseball has been the biggest part of my life for a long time. It helped me through a lot of my life and it has always been something for me to fall back on. Not a day goes by where I don't think about baseball. I have been all around the country for this sport and it will probably be what I do for a living. -
Brother was born
When my brother was born it was the first time I was not the center of attention. It made me learn how to share and be selfless for the first time. Having a little brother has shaped me to who I am today. -
First high school baseball game.
My first high school baseball game I pinch hit in the 5th inning after Tripp got hurt. I got one plate appearance and walked. I also played defense for two innings. This was probably the most nervous I've ever been. High school baseball is my favorite thing in life, as difficult as it may be. -
Struggles
Coming into my sophomore year of high school baseball I had heavy expectations, not only for myself but from others. I had worked harder than I had ever worked in my life. I hit every night before I lifted, then woke up and sprinted in the mornings before school. I knew I was working harder than everyone but the thought of failure was still always on my mind. I had the worst year of my life baseball wise and it was a really difficult time. I couldn't understand why I was failing. -
Grandmother died
My grandmother was a huge part of my life. She was always wanting to come to one of my games or watch a movie with me. She would always drive up from Texas to be with us and even moved to Arkadelphia in her later years. She would always call me after my games if she couldn't go so I could tell her how it went. She would always tell me to let "That sweet swing work". I miss her every day.
