Second Voyage
Cook set out, in 1772, to find the southern continent(Antarctica). He sent out two ships but they had to turn back before finding Antarctica because of the cold. -
Third Voyage
Cook set out on his third and final voyage in 1776. His goal was to find the Northwest Passage. Unsucsessful, he decided to explore the islands of Hawaii. -
Death
Cook left Hawaii after staying for a month. After departure, the ships mast broke and they we're forced to turn back. For some reason, Cook's returning upset the hawaiians and they broke out into war. On Februrary 14, 1779 Captin James Cook was killed.
