    Lotus Eaters
    Odysseus and his crew landed on an island for supplies. On the island, Odysseus sent two men to ask the inhabitants questions, however, the people on the island called Lotus Eaters only offered the plant. The Lotus Eaters were people under the trance of the lotus flower which made them want to never leave, forgetting who they are. This is important to the story because it is connotation to how people can get attached to certain things, making them not able to function the same.
