Libraries
Egyptians made the ancient libraries of Alexandria. The Roman emperor Claudius made a new type of cross-layered paper that wasn’t damaged by reed. Reed was what they used as a pencil when writing these letters. -
550 BCE
What was used for writing
Humans started to discover that the leaves of plants and the bark of trees had advanced the use of writing. They claimed the Linden tree (heart-shaped leaves) was perfect. They also like the fact that the bark would be able to fold. -
500 BCE
First letter written
Letters became a thing in Persia, written by Persian Queen Atossa according to the ancient Hellanicus. -
Structure of sentence
People started to figure out the construction of a sentence. -
Transportation
Letter transportation, a horse writer delivered Letters. The person who received the letter had to pay for the letter which depended on the number of pages and how much it traveled. -
Postal Services
The postal services in Great Britain introduced the first stamp nationwide. Other countries soon copied this later. -
Stamps
Postal stamps were updated, United States introduced a limited postal service in August 1842 followed by a uniform 5 cents charge. -
