A Secondry Department opened at Ayr State School. It offered acadenmic, commercial, domestic science and manual trainuing subjects. -
QLD Gov to build High School
Queensland Goverment decided to build a High and Intermediate School on 10 acres set aside for fair grounds and sports areas. -
Work starts on Ayr High
Work started on the two story building for the Ayr High and Intermediate School. -
Building of High School finished
The building of 'A' blockwas completed. -
Flood delayed School opening
Floods Delayed tyhe arrival of furniture so the official School oopening was delayed. -
Official opening of New School
Ayr High and Intermediate school was officialy opened with an enrolement of 271 students. -

First group of senior students were elected as preffects. -

Renamed Ayr State High School
The School was renamed Ayr High School -
