In order to prepare children as good citizens of the United States, they need to have the ability to work well with each other, regardless of the race or culture. Placing children together in the classrooms and knowing that we are all important people of this country is a groundbreaking event and should always be remembered as equality being set in stone. -
Head Start and Title I
Each individual child should have the opportunity to be introduced to the school setting, before actually entering elementary school. Helping families that are not as financially advantaged as others is important to the child to where it can become a positive influence on their self-esteem, social interactions, as well as additional nurturance that may not be met in the home. -

After this horrific event, school districts decided to take control of their schools and make them more secure by adding metal detectors and security systems. Our children are the most precious gift in life and they deserve to have a safe place to learn and feel safe. -
No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
The NCLB Act is important because if the student's standards are not being met, then the state can look into the resources that are being taught by the teacher and find where the problem lies. Each child needs to have the opportunity to improve their academic scores no matter what level the child is at. -
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)
Receiving federal money being invested into education can do nothing but improve the industry. This is important because it allowed the schools to improve the teaching staff which in turn will lead to improving the students academic levels. With as much chaos that America has in the present time, having a positive education could in turn, turn our country around for the better.
