Lahore Resolution Mento Park
The Muslim League met in Lahore in March 1940 declared that a seperate state should be present for the muslims of the sub-continent. This important decision was called the Lahore Resolution and was passed on 23rd March-Pakisatn Day. -
Cripps Mission (1942)
Stafford Cripps, a senior British Minister came to I ndia with several proposals:
Indian was to become a union with full dominion status after World War II, with its own constituition. Any state or province could opt out of the union.
These proposals pleased no one and more violence broke out. -
Simla Conference (1945)
When Germany surrendered Lord Wavell called MUslim and Congress leaders to a conference in Simla. By now the Muslim league and Congress was so far that no agreement could be reached. Muslim League rejected Wavell's offer. Partition was now inevitable. -
The Cabbinet Mission (1946)
Britian was now desperate to resolve the situation. They sent three senior ministers to have discussions with Gandhi, Nehru, Jinnah, Ambedkar and Sardar Baldev Singh. No agreement was reached again.
