American intervention in Mexico. This was an armed conflict between the United States of America and the United Mexican States. -

Result of a long term controversy over slavery between North and South. Seven southern states declared secession from the United States. -
United States Expedition to Korea
This is the first time America took military action in Korea. This armed conflict took place on and around the Korean island of Ganghura. -
Spanish-American War
Fought between the United States and Spain. An internal explosion of the USS Maine in the Havana Harbor started the war between the two enemies. -
Philippine-American War
Between the first Philippine Republic and the United States. This was a continuation of the Filipino struggle for independence. -
Vietnam War
War fought between North and South Vietnam. Direct U.S military involvement ended officially in 1973. -
