Peace of Augsburg
Peace of Augsburg divides Christianity in Germany. The Peace of Augsburg ended religious wars in Germany. It divided Christianity and Germany into different state sections. German states were allowed to choose between Catholicism and Lutheranism as the main religion in their state. All of the states were given the same rights no matter what religion they chose. No German ruler was allowed to pick a religion for their citizens under this agreement. -
England defeats the Spanish Armada
King Philip II plans to defeat England so he sends a fleet of warships called an Armada. His plan was to overthrow Queen and gain control of England. When the Armada gets to England they are attacked back with Europe’s faster and more nimble ships. The Armada quickly retreats and on the way back the rest of the ships are drowned by a storm. King Philip II goes bankrupt quickly after this defeat.
