Mussolini led a coup de main or “sneak attack” on the Italian capital of Rome. -
Rise to Power
Became Il Duce "the leader" when italy was falling into chaos. He declared himself dictator of Italy. -
Entered War
Mussolini entered World War 2, by this time Italy lacked military and the Nazis had already swept through most of europe. This is what led to his replacement. -
The End
Mussolini was defeated in the vote at the Grand Council of Facism, after the trial he was then arrested. He later then was beaten and hung.
