Al Qama forces Pelayo
Al Qama (commnader of the Umayyad) sent a message to Pelagius (Pelayo) to surrender with his army. Pelaguis refused, so Al Qama sent his troops to the valley to fight. Pelagius sent his troops to fight back. -

The christen's wanted to rule the Iberian Penninsula, and get rid of all muslim. They wanted to start a war to eject the muslim, now called "The Battle of Covadonga". Christen's stated that they we're regarded intruters, and they we're occupying territory that belonged to the christen's. -

Pelayo's Victory
After Pelayo succesfully won the victory, his men killed hundreds of Al Qama's troops.Christen's took over Covadonga. Al Qama learning of his defeat, organized another force, and gathered what was left from the survivors of Covadonga. -

After Covadonga
At later date, Al Qama confronted Pelagius. They started another force near the town of Proaza. Again Pelagius won once again, and Al Qama was killed during the battle. -
