The aztecs controll a vast region of Mesoamerican empire, which stretched from central Mexico to the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and south into Oaxaca. The empire was divided into a total of 38 provinces. It had an estimated population of 5 to 15 million people living there. -

Tenochtitlan had become very populated, almost over 200,000 people were livin in the city at the time. It was larger than any European capitals of that time. To connect the city to the mainland aztec engineers built three roads onto the mainland. -

Montesuma II is crowned emperor and the aztec empire begins to weaken. The new emperor calls for more tributes and more sacrifices to be made across the land. It then began a period of unrest and rebellion which the military put down. -
