Originally his doctoral thesis, in Content and Consciousness, Dennett attempts to tackle the issues of the "Mind-Body". An issue that "going back at least to Descartes" is explaining how the human mind and body work with one another. -
Brainstorms
In his 1978 book Brainstorms, Dennett tackles ideas and develops his theories of consciousness and free will. Professorship at Tufts University
After moving to Tufts University in 1971, Dennett would become a professor and director for the universities Center for Cognitive Studies in 1985. -
Brainchildren
After his work with an MIT group to create an artificial intelligence in 1993, Dennett would publish a collection of his essays and works on the topics of theories of mind, consciousness and A.I. -
Erasmus Prize
In 2012 Daniel Dennett was awarded the Erasmus Prize for his science and technology communication skills, as well as his ability to translate and appeal to a wide range of people.
