Empire State bulding begins construction
This began production i 1930 and needed the help of 3,400 workers. It cost 24.7 million dollares to build and was going to be the tallest building in New York. -
Pluto was discovered
In 1930 Clyde W. Tombaugh was at the Lowell Observatory. The lab got a new 13 in telescope that was going to be used for this sole purpose. After many pictures taken, tombaugh was coming across some photos which is when he discovered Pluto. -
Al Capone finally convicted and sent o Alacatraz
Al Capone was convicted to 11 years in federal prison for tax evasion with $50,000 in fines, charged $7,692 in court costs and $215,000 due in back taxes -
Charles Lindbergh's son found
Charles Lindbergh was a famous Aviator who is known for being the first to travel across the Atlantic. But also he's know for the kidnapping of his son, Charles Augustus Jr. His body was found and 10 weeks later and Bruno Hauptmann was found guilt and executed. -
Amelia Earhart becomes first woman to fly alone across the Atlantic
After breaking records and setting new standards for aviation, Emilia Earhart wanted a bigger challenge and on may 20 she set to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Although she had a fuel leak and there was storms, she made it across. -
FDR crushes Hoover in election
FDR comes victorious in the elction with an outsanding 472 electoral college votes vs hoover's 59 votes. -

March 4, is the day Franklin Delano Roosevelt is innaugrated into office starting his reign of presidency. -
Bonnie and Clyde get shot
On may 23, 134 the infamous BonnieParker and Clyde Barrow who are known for being outlaws and robbers are finally shot down by the police. It was 9:15 in the morning when the couple were drinvg down a ride when 5 officers opened fire on the couple. 130 bullets went through them. -

Ending with 714 home runs, Babe Ruth the Sultan of Swat retires from baseball. -
The Nazi Olympics
These Olympics were run by Hitler and he didn't let any non-aryan athletes on the German team. Many jew from other countries boycotted the games. -
The Hindenburg crashes
The german air blimp "Hindenburg" was trying to land on the Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey on may 6th when it all of sudden bursts into flames and disintigrates. 36 people died. -
World War 2 starts
On september 1, Hitler invades Poland without warning. UK and France gave a warning to Germany, if they didn't withdraw from Poland war would be declared. Germany just went further into Poland.
