Palmer Raids
The end of Palmer raids. They were a series of raids conducted by the United States government. They were to capture, arrest, and deport suspected anarchists, communist and radicals. -
Too Much Cotton
At first cotton was 42 cents a pound. This prompted farmers to plant more cotton. This was a fail and over production of cotton made the price drop to 10 cent a pound. -
Prohibition
Prohibition is when the 18th amendment kicked into effect. 18th amendment was when production, transport, and sale of alcohol was illegal. Even tho it was illegal that didn’t stop people from drinking. -
19th amendment
Ratified on August 16th 1920 women got the right to vote. It was a hard battle for the women, they had to protest for the right to vote. The amendment is also known as women suffrage. -

President Warren G. Harding dies. Harding dies from a stroke in a San Francisco hotel. Leaving Vice President Calvin Coolidge as president. -
The Great Gatsby
F. Scott Fitzgerald published The Great Gatsby on April 10, 1925. It is a pretty popular book with high ratings. I just found it pretty cool that the book I’m reading in English was published in the 1920s. -
Klansmen March
On August 8th 1925 over 30000 kkk members marched down to the U.S. capital. During the March the kkk ran into counter protesters but the kkk had more people. It left many injured due to the fights between the groups. -

Steamboat Willie introduces Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse is created by Walt Disney. His first appearance was on November 18, 1928. -
Stock market
The stock market crash was one causes of the Great Depression. A lot of people had lost money due to the crash. It took a long time for the market to go back up. -
