Although finished with its suggestions of responsible government and the uniting of Upper and Lower Canada was finished in January, it was not until this time that the report was presented to the colonial office by Lord Durham. -

Tache replaced Morin as the leader of East Canada. Later Macnab resigned and macdonald took over his position. Together Tache and Macdonald brought their parties together to rule united rather than in a coalition. -
Etienne-Pashcal Tache's Death
after being part of the Quebec conference and helping create the Quebec resolutions, Tache died before he was able to see his dream of a united Canada come around almost 2 years later. -
