The wansee conference was when 15 high ranking Nazi party and German government officals gathered in Berlin on January 20,1942 to disscuss and coordinate the implention of what they called the "final souloution of the jewish question". This caused the nazis to start exterminating the european jews. -

On august 25, 1944 Paris was liberated by the french 2nd armored division and the U.S. 4th infantry division. this happened because Paris was occupied by Nazi forces for more than 4 years. The result of this battle was that paris was liberated and 20,000 german troops surrendered or fled. -

Early on december 16,1944 over 200,000 german troops and 1,000 tanks launched Hitler's last bid to avenge his loss on d-day. His plan was to attack general patton's army. The result of this was a German loss. -
Battle for Iwo Jima
On febuary 17,1945 american toops invaded Iwo Jima, a key island in the Borin chain about 575 miles from the japanese coast. They did this so that the allies could control the island. the resullt was the americans won and got controll of the island
