Chapter 1
Tex is out riding his horse, Nigreto. He has a friend named Johnny who has a motorcycle. Tex has an older nrother named Mason. Mason sold johnnys horses and Tex got really mad. -
Chapter 2
When Tex was really little his mom died of pneumonia. jamie is Johnny's little sister and Tex likes her. They all go to the fair together and find a fortune teller. Tex keeps having a dream about his mom and dad fighting when he was little. -
Chapter 3
Johnny and Tex go to Charlies, who is Johhny's older brother. they start to drink and go home drunk. Lem, an old friend, comes to Tex's to tell them he has a baby. tex sneeks over to Jamies and she squirts him with a water gun. -
chapter 4
Johnny got his motorcylce takin away from him. Johnny and Tex werent talking because Johnny was amd at him. Tex set his toothpick art work in fire and got sent to the office. Johnny tried to jump the creek on his cycle when he got it back. he failed so Tex got on it and jumped it. -
chapter 5
Mason had to go to the city to the hospital for some tests. Tex ent along with him. Mason went to the hospital while Tex went to the mall and looked around at the stores. -
chapter 6
Mason and Tex went to see Lem in the city. while they were there they saw his new baby, and found out Lem was a drug dealer. on thier way home Tex picked up a hitchhicker. he kid naps them and says he broke out of prison. Tex wrecks the truck to get away from the hitchhicker. the cops show up and shoot him. -
chapter 7
Mason and Tex were on the news because of the kidnapping. Pop, Mason and Tex's dad, comes home. he gets a job and promises to get Negrito back for Tex. Mason and Tex go to get him back but the new owner wont sell him to Tex. -
chapter 8
Tex goes to one of Mason's basketball games with Jamie. Mason gets hurt. Tex goes parkin with Jamie, she tells him shes not ready. Tex feels bad and goes to hang out with people at the carwash. -
chapter 9
Tex and Johnny pull a prank on the school and get into trouble. They get sent to the principles office. When Tex's dad gets there him and Mason get into a fight and Tex finds out theat Pop isnt his real father. -
chapter 10
Tex runs away from Mason and Pop. Lem picks him up and takes him to the city. While they are selling drugs to some guy in his apartment, Lem and him get into an arguement. Tex tries to leave and the guy pulls out a gun. Tex takes the gun from him and in the process gets shot. He tries to call Mason off of a pay phone but gets a hold of Cole Collins instead. Lem takes him to the hospital. -
chapter 11
Tex woke up in the hospital to Mason. He forgot what happened at first. Pop came in to visit him and told him the story about Tex having a different dad. When Jamie comes in to visist Tex gets excited. Tex tells her how he feels and kissesher right before Cole walks in. -
chapter 12
When Tex gets home Mason tells him that he's not going to go to college. Tex gets mad and tells him to go. They talk, and decide to go fishing in the morning.
