Classroom meet-and-greet afternoon tea and parent welcome afternoon. Books and stationery brought in. Formal introduction from the teacher. Presentation for families of how their ongoing support can greatly improve the learning outcomes for their children. Wave of attendance times:

Throughout Term 1, request parent meetings to get to know students and families better. Discussion areas:

- what they see in their child
- what they want for their child

Across Term 1, teacher and students will share own student work with parents via email. Specific tasks either typed/photographed/videoed. Honest examples of student work seen by parents able to appreciate conversations with teacher about student progress and child's needs. -

Made in the afternoons after school. Plan for at least one positive phone call for each student as early in the term as possible. Leave messages if parent not available.

Pre-planned pieces of student hardcopy/written work learning are sent home on Wednesday of Week 10 as a physical portfolio.
