    The soviet spacecraft, Zond 5 was launched and later became the first spacecraft to orbit the moon and return to earth.

  • Apallo 11 Launched into Orbit

    Apallo 11 launched into orbit carrying 3 American astronauts, later known to be the first time Mankind stepped on the moon.
    Apallo 11 was also the first rocket ever to land on the Moon.

  • Three Americans Orbited the Moon

    Three American Astronauts circled the Moon and Two of the Three Astronauts stepped on the Moon. It was the first time ever in history that Anyone stepped on the Moon.
