Royal family murdered
The order to execute the russian royalty was signed by Yakov Sverdlov. Around midnight, he ordered the Romanovs' physician, Dr. Eugene Botkin, to wake them up and have them put on their clothes, using the excuse that the family would be moved to a safe location because of impending chaos in Yekaterinburg. Then they were taken into the basement and executed by police. -
